Tucked away within the ancient city walls, Michael Caines at ABode Canterbury is an engagingly chic street-level restaurant with a buzzy, elegant vibe. The innovative menu of modern European cuisine is the perfect foil for the effortlessly contemporary interior, featuring regional produce in smart dishes such as roast sirloin of Kentish beef with wild mushroom purée, roasted salsify and Madeira jus and crouton-topped fillet of Hythe brill with golden beetroot and fennel cream sauce.
