| Modern British Restaurant |
The Minnis Bar & Restaurant is a hidden treasure located on the seafront of unspoiled Minnis Bay, an area steeped in history, boasting panoramic views and some of the most breathtaking sunsets in the country. Open every day throughout the year, The Minnis is a firm favourite with locals and tourists alike. The menu offers classic bar food alongside more adventurous dishes. If all you want to do is relax on the patio and enjoy a deliciously simple meal, then feel free to do so.
Jason Freedman, chef patron for the past six years, is passionate about fresh local produce. All ingredients are carefully sourced from local suppliers to ensure quality, as well as to support the community. Monkshill Farm at Waterham, run by The Royal School for the Deaf, is one such supplier, providing fresh meat, poultry & eggs Vegetarians won’t feel neglected thanks to innovative main Courses.Jason loves to keep diners on their toes with an ever-evolving menu. But rest assured the excellent quality never wavers.
The Minnis Bar & Restaurant was unfortunate to suffer a fire in February 2009 and was closed for four months. Having reopened in June after an extensive refurbishment, the dining room is now light and airy and the views are even more impressive due to the seemingly endless expanse of glass that looks out over the sea. If you haven’t tried The Minnis yet, you really must. You wouldn’t want you to miss out on such an unforgettable dining experience. |
