For fresh, local and seasonal food, The Old Dining Room at The Bell Hotel in Sandwich, Kent, is a fantastic dining destination with a restaurant, conservatory, bar and terrace.
The head chef and his team have created delicious menus based on British recipes, infused with a little twist of something new, aiming to appeal to anyone who enjoys the freshest foods, simply cooked to bring out their full natural flavours. Accompanying the irresistible cuisine, the drinks list includes wines carefully chosen from the major regions of Europe, South America, South Africa and Australasia. You can also enjoy some award-winning still and sparkling wines from the region, as well as local beers, ciders and soft drinks.
Recently refurbished throughout, The Old Dining Room features elements of both the old and the new. The clean lines, honey-coloured oak flooring, and contemporary dining tables and chairs make for a relaxed and informal dining atmosphere. The walls are also used as exhibition spaces for photographers and artists.
On bright afternoons and warm evenings, there is nothing more enjoyable than having some fine food and drink in great company on The Old Dining Room’s outdoor terrace. The only such place for late outdoor dining in Sandwich, it is the perfect spot to sit back and simply watch the world go by. |
